The Lastarria neighborhood began to develop as such with the construction of the Veracruz Church in 1857, which was later accompanied by the remodeling of Cerro Santa Lucía and the inauguration of the Forest Park. The Palacio de Bellas Artes ended up consecrating a neighborhood that to this day has become a pole for both tourism and cultural expression. From artistic manifestations and celebrations, this neighborhood also hosts a very powerful gastronomic, entertainment and cultural offer, which ends up being one of the main faces of Greater Santiago.
