En Viaje Magazine was one of the pioneers in Chile, which from 1933 to 1973 used photography and illustration as tools to promote different landscapes, tourist destinations and activities throughout the country.
It was owned by the State Railway Company , which, through CORFO, built emblematic tourist sites, such as the Gran Hotel Pucón, Hostería Tejas Verdes, Hotel Pirihueico and Hotel Puerto Varas, among others. The magazine was the best way to publicize these projects.
We set out to redo the most iconic covers, originally illustrated by Luis Troncoso Ossandón , this time, hand in hand with the current talent of illustrators in the country, as a tribute to its author and work that was done with the magazine for 40 years.
